According to my mother, I've eaten at Kim's since before I was born. That goes back to early 1943! One thing I do know is that I can count on consistency. Even when I experienced a lapse of 15 years between visits, the barbequed pork and seeds (with the best hot mustard), shrimp tempura, mar far chicken, mandarin duck and pea pod chow yuk have always been my favorites and always taste exactly as I remember them. And Kim's Shrimp Sauce is like no other. I've lived all around the US and travel to Europe often. Even though there are many Asian restaurants that I enjoy, it's Kim's that is my favorite for good old fashioned Chinese-American fare. We never make a trip to Oregon that doesn't include a family gathering at Kim's!
